Pregnancy Nutrition

There is now an established link between the health of the mother during pregnancy and the future health outcomes of their children. So establishing good eating habits during pregnancy is vitally important not only for the mother to have a healthy pregnancy and feel energised throughout but also for the health of their child.

The 1,000 days between a woman's pregnancy and her child's 2nd birthday offer a unique window of opportunity to build healthy and happy children. This is because the first 1,000 days are when the foundations of a child’s lifelong health are built as well as a crucial time for a child’s brain development. The nutrients our children receive in the womb can determine whether they go on to develop childhood illnesses, allergies, have gut problems or suffer mental health issues, so supporting mothers-to-be and new mum’s is vitally important.

And once babies are born, this time is also crucial - from establishing breastfeeding (if you to chose to do so), to dealing with sleep deprivation and the hormonal rollercoaster of the early days, correct nutrition and lifestyle support focused on nourishing the mother in order to nourish the baby is key.

I am passionate about supporting women through this crucial time and some of the things I can help with are:

  • Managing morning sickness and low energy

  • Hormone balancing to feel energised throughout your pregnancy

  • Supporting common pregnancy issues such as constipation, low energy and mood changes

  • Birth preparation

  • Support for the 4th trimester once the baby is born
